On December 17, 1998 God gave me a healthy bouncing baby boy. I could not believe that I was giving such a wonderful son to love. Kenny was just like every other boy. I remember one time he brought me a pocket full of fishworms and didn't tell me they were in his pocket until I reached my hand in there to see what was moving about. At 5 1/2 he started to limp so we took him to Childrens Hospital. They did MRIs and told us he had lesions on his brain and spine. He was a patient there for six years. We also had him to the Cleveland Clinic. A doctor also recommended taking him to the NIH, the best research hospital, they were unable to give us any answers either. We had his information sent from here clear across the map. No diagnosis. We were told that his diagnosis would never be giving a strict name. He ended up getting a trachostomy in 2007. Kenny kept smiling through every test and every hospital stay. On October 9, 2011 Kenny left us to be with Jesus. He is now completely made new and is looking down on his family and friends. I will miss him everyday of my life until I breath my last breath and am finally home with him. I love u
A meeting was held quite far from earth,
"It's time again for another birth."
Said the Angels to the Lord above,
"This special child will need much love."
His progress may seem very slow,
Accomplishments he may not show;
And he'll require extra care
From the folks he meets down there.
He may not run or laugh or play.
His thoughts may seem quite far away.
In many ways he won't adapt,
And he'll be known as handicapped.
So let's be careful where he's sent;
We want his life to be content.
Please, Lord, find the Parents who
Will do a special job for You.
They will not realize it right away
The leading role they're asked to play.
But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith and richer love.
And soon they'll know the privilege given
In caring for this gift from heaven.
Their precious charge, so meek and
mild Is Heaven's Very Special Child
All God's angels come to us disguised. |
Memories made and memories broken,
sentences said and words unspoken.
You will remain in my heart forever and always,
prayers are said at the end of all days.
Though you're gone, you still remain.
I wish it didn't happen and there was no pain.
I love you buddy, don't you ever forget.
Not getting to tell you “I love you”
is one of my many regrets.

God Took Him To His Loving Home
God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’
He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.
He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.
He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain,
God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain.
Precious Son
God, I know you gave your precious Son
To give us life with You.
But we didn’t want our son to leave,
Cause he was precious too.
We all are special in your eyes
And all to you return.
We know our son will not come back,
And for this our hearts still yearn.
Our time on earth is for learning,
And when our lessons are through,
Our Lord will choose the time we leave,
And we come back to you.
Our precious son is with you,
And there will be a day,
That we too will leave this earth,
And you will light our way.
His arms will be wide open,
And the wait will be worthwhile,
When we see again our precious son,
And the splendor of his smile.
